Rusty raced this Kodiak Pontiac to his only championship the 1989 NASCAR Winston Cup Series for Blue Max Racing.
It's no wonder the Kodiak #27 car has become one of the most sought after collectables. It was made by Action Racing Collectables in 1995 and features an opening hood, chromed engine parts and has a detailed engine (for 1995 standards) and a beautiful finish.
It is a very limited edition of only 6210 cars produced. The coin slot is in the rear window and the access door and key are on the bottom of the chassis. It comes mounted to a black base and has a clear acrylic cover so it can't be played with because of it's tobacco sponsorship. It is so original the original 24-year old tape securing the base to the cover has never been removed.
A rare and original collectable from the dawn of the NASCAR diecast collectable era. Don't be fooled by the less collectable, later-made, remake versions of this car, this is the original and the one you want to own.
